Join us for an exclusive Night Sky experience for overnight guests at Wooramel River Retreat, located 120 kms south of Carnarvon.

Join Rennee, a Yinggarda woman whose grandmother was born on the banks of the Wooramel River, not far from where Wooramel River Retreat is now located. Set beneath one of Western Australia's darkest and most dazzling skies, this is far more than a stargazing evening; it is an invitation to understand the night sky the way it has always been understood here: as living Country.
Through the lens of a powerful telescope, distant galaxies, luminous constellations, and celestial wonders come into breathtaking focus. Alongside them, Rennee shares the ancient stories carried by her ancestors — stories of sky, land, and the deep connections between them that have guided her people across generations.
This rare partnership between Wooramulla Eco Cultural Journeys and Wooramel River Retreat brings these stories home to the Country where they belong, so that guests can experience the origin stories of the land, alongside a modern chapter in Wooramel Station's story.

What to bring: Please bring a bottle of water. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and for cooler nights, warm clothing and torch or headlight for the walk back to the campground.
